Plan a Kohler & Sheboygan trip

Destination Kohler is the Midwest's answer to Pebble: Pete Dye's Whistling Straits stacked along two miles of Lake Michigan bluffs (2020 Ryder Cup, three PGAs), Blackwolf Run's river valleys inland, and a five-star village built by a plumbing-fixture empire. Caddies are part of the deal on the Straits - walking only, the way Dye intended. Resort guests get the access and the package math.

Calendar warningMajor championships and USGA events periodically close the Straits - check the championship calendar.

$450–$600Pete Dye

Dye hauled in 13,000 truckloads of sand and built Ballybunion on Lake Michigan. Three PGAs and a Ryder Cup later, it's the Midwest's must-play - walking only, take the caddie, embrace the wind.
